At African Dreamland Tours and Safaris, we understand that travel plans may change unexpectedly. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and aligned with international tourism standards while protecting operational commitments made on behalf of our guests.
Please read the following terms carefully before confirming your booking.

Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed upon:

• Receipt of a required deposit (usually 30%–50% of the total tour cost unless otherwise
  stated), and
•  Written confirmation issued by African Dreamland Tours and Safaris.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to arrival, unless otherwise agreed in writing. For last-minute bookings (within 30 days of arrival), full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

Cancellation by the Client
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. Cancellation charges are calculated based on the date we receive the written cancellation notice:
Standard Cancellation Charges

• More than 60 days before arrival – 10% of total tour cost (administration fee)
• 59–30 days before arrival – 30% of total tour cost
• 29–15 days before arrival – 50% of total tour cost
• 14–7 days before arrival – 75% of total tour cost
• Less than 7 days before arrival or No-Show – 100% of total tour cost (non-refundable)

Please note: Some lodges, camps, flights, gorilla permits, or special services may carry stricter cancellation terms. In such cases, the specific supplier’s policy will apply.

 Non-Refundable Services
Certain services are strictly non-refundable, including but not limited to:

• Gorilla or chimpanzee permits
• Domestic or international flight tickets once issued
• Special discounted or promotional bookings
• Third-party prepaid services clearly marked as non-refundable

Guests will be informed at the time of booking if any services are non-refundable.

Amendments & Changes
If you wish to amend your booking (change dates, accommodation, or itinerary):

• Requests must be submitted in writing.
• Amendments are subject to availability.
• Additional costs may apply.
• Date changes made within 14 days of arrival may be treated as cancellation.

Refund Process

Where refunds are applicable:

• Refunds will be processed within 14–30 business days.
• Bank transfer fees or transaction charges are deducted from the refundable amount.
• Refunds are made via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Cancellation by African Dreamland Tours and Safaris

We reserve the right to cancel a tour due to:

• Force majeure events (natural disasters, political unrest, government restrictions,
  pandemics, etc.)
• Safety concerns beyond our control
• Insufficient participants (for group tours)

In such cases, clients will be offered:

• A rescheduled tour (subject to availability), or
• A credit voucher valid for 12 months, or
• A full refund excluding non-recoverable third-party costs

African Dreamland Tours and Safaris shall not be liable for additional expenses such as international flights, visas, insurance, or personal travel arrangements.

Unavoidable Circumstances
We shall not be held responsible for delays, alterations, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Acts of God
• Government regulations
• War or civil unrest
• Natural disasters
•  Epidemics or pandemics
• Airline schedule changes

In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements.

Travel Insurance (Highly Recommended)
All clients are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering:

• Trip cancellation
• Medical emergencies
• Evacuation
• Loss of luggage
• Personal liability

African Dreamland Tours and Safaris is not responsible for losses that could have been covered by insurance.

No-Show Policy
Failure to arrive on the confirmed date without prior written notice will be treated as a No￾Show and is non-refundable (100% cancellation fee applies).

Early Departure
No refunds will be given for unused services, voluntary early departure, or missed activities during the tour.

Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking with African Dreamland Tours and Safaris, the client acknowledges and
agrees to this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
