Your Tanzanian adventure begins with an airport pickup and a journey to Tarangire National Park, famed for its migratory wildlife, acacia woodlands, and majestic baobab trees, where you enjoy a picnic lunch and your first game drive. The next day, you descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, to witness its dense wildlife population, including rare black rhinos, before heading to Serengeti for dinner and rest. Over the following two days, explore the Serengeti’s iconic endless plains, teeming with diverse wildlife and seasonal spectacles like the Great Migration, with highlights including the Seronera area, lion prides, and the Hippo Pool. The final day takes you to Mto Wa Mbu Village, a cultural melting pot where you tour banana plantations, bustling markets, and community landmarks, gaining a deep appreciation of local life before heading to Arusha for your departure.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from Kilimanjaro airport with our office driver guide, have a short briefingand then you will depart to Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch. This park has a lot ofmigratory movements with a larger Tarangire ecosystem. The park runs along the Tarangire Riverand is mainly composed of low hills at the bottom of the large valley. Its natural vegetation consistsmainly of acacia forests and giant African baobabs with huge swampy areas. Dinner and overnightat the hotel/lodge

Wake up early in the morning after breakfast we descend into this magnificent crater for safari withpicnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas inthe world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remainingblack rhino. The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq. km andis arguably the most stunning arena. Later in the day drive to Serengeti for dinner and overnight atthe hotel/lodge

After breakfast you will have a game drive in Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch, the heart ofwild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far asthe eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richestwildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water sourceto this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species andenjoy game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight will be at Dinner andovernight at the hotel/lodge

You will have a game drive in this wonderful park, rising early with picnic lunch to make the mostof our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year; we can spendtime at the Hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water happily livingalongside the crocodiles, watch a big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, sometimessurrounded by wildebeest, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest. Later in themidafternoon drive to karatu for dinner and overnight at Dinner and overnight at the hotel/lodge.

The bustling farming community of Mto Wa Mbu, located between Manyara and Ngorongoro, ishome to about 18,000 people. Spend half a day here with a knowledgeable local guide and you'lldiscover a side of Tanzania that many visitors miss. A melting pot of cultures, Mto Wa Mbu isconsidered one of the only places in Tanzania where there are representatives of the 120 tribesliving happily side by side. Although the name translates to “Mosquito River,” due to the village'spermanent water source, luckily we didn't see many mosquitoes. During your visit you will get agood idea of the social side of the village - farms and milling machines, schools, markets andchurches. Your guide will be happy to answer any questions and help you understand the innerworkings of this typical Tanzanian community. You will probably start in the village bananaplantation, where they grow over 30 different varieties of bananas. As well as learning about howthis staple fruit is grown, you'll hear about the different uses of the plant as a whole, from food tobuilding materials and art. Later in the day, drive to Arusha for a return to the airport for yourflight.
